United States Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook (pictured) denied on Friday that Washington offered Tehran to lift sanctions in exchange for talks.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated earlier in the day that the US said it was ready to remove sanctions on the Islamic Republic so the two countries can start negotiations. Hook rejected the claim as "baseless" and stressed the administration is committed to bringing Iran's oil exports down to zero.
The diplomat also accused Iran of attacking Saudi Aramco facilities and labeled the country as a "state sponsor of terrorism."
