The United States' approach to finding a diplomatic solution between Israel and Hezbollah that would prevent further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East currently has "no real chance of success," Sky News Arabia reported on Friday citing a US source.

According to the source, the Israeli side is "more flexible" compared to Hezbollah, when it comes to the approach envisioned by Washington. The source added that conditions for calming the situation set by the militant group and Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon Nabih Berri are "impossible."

While the international community continues to call for peace and the stoppage of further escalations in the area, Israel remains adamant in its resolve to fight back.
