US markets close higher, Dow rises more than 290 pts

Major US stock markets closed higher on Tuesday as the Nasdaq rallied more than 2%, and the Dow Jones climbed over 290 points.

During the day, Bitcoin jumped 6% on the Grayscale Bitcoin ETF ruling, and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that job openings in the country declined by 338,000 in July.

At the close, the Dow Jones gained 0.85% or 292 points, with Verizon rising 3.44%. The Nasdaq 100 added 2.15%, PDD Holdings was leading the gains, improving by 15.16%. The S&P 500 rose 1.45%, as Tesla advanced by 7.69%.

The euro improved by 0.62% against the dollar at 3:58 pm ET, selling for $1.08855.
