Additionally, the European Central Bank announced that it decided to cut its key interest rates by 25 basis points. In business, Adobe Inc. is expected to release its third-quarter financial results after the closing bell.
The Dow Jones traded flat at the open. However, two minutes later it moved to the green territory, climbing by 0.20%, as Home Depot Inc. rose by 0.81%. The S&P 500 was flat at 9:30 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 lost 0.10%, with Moderna Inc. sinking by 15.41%.
The euro gained 0.21% compared to the dollar at 9:28 am ET, changing hands at $1.10354.
