Major stock market indexes in the United States opened higher on Wednesday driven primarily by Salesforce and Marvell Technology, both of which reported strong quarterly earnings that bolstered investor confidence. Furthermore, the country's private payrolls increased by 146,000, lower than the 163,000 projected.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened adding 0.58% or 261 points and the S&P 500 went 0.32% up. Minutes later, the Dow Jones jumped by 0.69% or 308 points with Salesforce popping up by 10.12% at 9:37 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 climbed by 0.63% with Marvell Technology Inc. soaring 15.43%.
The euro lost 0.18% against the dollar at 9:29 am ET to sell for $1.04900.
