The goods and services trade deficit in the United States came in at $89.1 billion in July, going down by $9.5 billion from the revised figure of $98.6 billion recorded in June, the US Bureau of Economic Analysis and the US Census Bureau revealed in a preliminary report published on Friday.
The country's exports of goods landed at $181.0 billion, a decrease of $0.4 billion compared to June. Meanwhile, its imports of goods declined by $9.9 billion on a monthly level to $270.0 billion.
In comparison to July 2021, exports of goods increased by $33.7 billion, while imports of goods rose by $36.0 billion. The trade deficit grew by $2.38 billion on an annual level.
