Ukrainian cargo ship Lady Zehma, which carries 3,307 tonnes of corn, was stranded on the coast of Istanbul on Thursday, due to rudder failure. The incident temporarily stopped shipping in the Bosphorus Strait.
The Istanbul governor's office has since stated that the vessel was safely grounded and anchored and that no one was hurt during the incident, which took place near one of the city's residential areas.
This was the first occurrence of this kind since the Joint Coordination Center was established in Turkey in July.
