The number of unemployed people in Spain declined by 0.98% or 25,300 people in December compared to the month before, the Spanish Ministry of Labor and Social Economy said in its report released on Friday. The total number of unemployed people stood at 2,560,718 in the reported month.
Observed by economic sectors, services and agriculture saw monthly drops of 1.15% and 2.36%, respectively, while unemployment in construction increased by 2.26% and in industry rose by 0.44%.
On an annual basis, unemployment fell by 5.42% or 146,738 people.
