Von der Leyen reaffirms EU's support for Zelensky

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen voiced on Friday her support for Ukraine and its leader Volodymyr Zelensky after his shortened visit to the White House.

"Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa," von der Leyen tweeted. "We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace."

Zelensky left the White House early after he and US President Donald Trump disagreed with Ukraine making concessions to Russia to reach peace in Eastern Europe.
