United States National Security Council (NSC) Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby advised US citizens on Thursday ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin's interview with Tucker Carlson to "not take at face value anything Putin has to say."
Speaking at a press conference, he noted that "everyone knows well who's at fault here," explaining that there was "no ground whatsoever for the invasion on February 22nd two years ago" as Putin "invaded a neighboring country without provocation."
Kirby said that there is strong bipartisan support on Capital Hill for supporting Ukraine, adding that "we know there are efforts now to bring something up onto the Senate for a vote that would give Ukraine, Israel, and Indo-Pacific humanitarian assistance."
