Major indexes on Wall Street ended Friday's session in the red as investors digested the latest PCE inflation figures, which indicated inflation is slowing down and continued to analyze the debate between United States President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump, as concerns over Biden's age and fitness increased, while Trump faced allegations of lying.
The Dow Jones lost 0.10% and the S&P 500 declined 0.40%. Nike led the losses on both indexes, slumping 19.98% after reporting disappointing results a day earlier.
The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.54%. The worst performer was Lululemon, whose shares slid 3.11%.
The euro gained 0.06% against the dollar to go for 1.07115 at 3:54 pm ET.
