South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will hold a joint press briefing to announce the results of their talks this week, but there will be no joint statement on the summit, Yonhap reported, citing a presidential official.
The update came after it was announced that Yoon and Kishida will meet in Tokyo on Thursday.
The meeting comes at a time when Seoul and Tokyo are attempting to reach an agreement on compensation for Koreans forced into labor by Japan during World War II.
