Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday. During the call, the two leaders talked about Macron's recent visit to China and the importance of conveying Ukraine's stance on the need for a full withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian leader.
Zelensky said he praised France's intention to strengthen support for Kiev on the battlefield and expressed his appreciation for their continued efforts to promote peace in the region. The leaders also discussed the upcoming NATO Vilnius summit and its expected results, particularly with regard to Ukraine obtaining effective security guarantees prior to joining the Alliance, according to Zelensky.
