Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that his country "is ready for peace as soon as possible."
"The theme is clear: peace as soon as possible, security as reliable as possible. Ukraine is determined to be very constructive," Zelesnky said in a video message posted on Telegram. He insisted that Russia must be forced to stop the war and comply with any future agreement aimed at securing a lasting peace.
"I thank everyone who helps Ukraine, everyone who supports our state, our people, our defense, and simply the truth," Zelensky concluded.
