The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that 50 of its soldiers were killed in recent clashes with Armenia.
Earlier, Yerevan said it lost 49 troops in the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The two sides have accused each other of initiating provocations, but have since reached a ceasefire agreement. However, Azerbaijan claimed Armenia breached the deal and continued shelling its positions.
