United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken (pictured left) will speak to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi (right) during the Group of Twenty (G20) ministerial meeting in Indonesia later this week, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

The Wang-Blinken meeting will serve as another way to stabilize the relationship between two major global powers, unnamed American diplomats told the newspaper. Covering a long list of topics, the two senior officials are expected to discuss the Ukraine crisis and Washington's concerns about cooperation between Beijing and Moscow.

On the other hand, US diplomats confirmed that Blinken is unlikely to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during the summit in Asia.
