Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food announced on Tuesday that it has started negotiations with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) in order to get $700 million to be used in the agricultural sector.

The multi-million-dollar loan from the World Bank would be directed to projects in agricultural production and food processing as well as to small agricultural farmers working in breeding cows, goats, or sheep during this year and 2024.

These talks with the financial institution begin weeks after Kiev's neighbors maintained a ban on the import of Ukrainian grain.
