Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Tuesday condemned North Korea's missile launch in the direction of Japan, describing the move as "barbaric."
"This is an act of violence following recent repeated launches of ballistic missiles," Kishida stated.
The projectile triggered an alert in Japan and prompted Tokyo to urge the citizens of the nation's capital and the city of Hokkaido to seek immediate shelter.
