British Prime Minister Boris Johnson named on Saturday Minister for the Cabinet Office Steve Barclay as the new Downing Street Chief of Staff.
The No. 10 added Barclay will continue to fulfill his previous roles, including the one of the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. Moreover, broadcaster and consultant Guto Harri was named the Director of Communications
Their predecessors and several other members of Johnson's staff previously resigned amid the allegations of parties that reportedly took place at Downing Street in 2020 during the nationwide lockdown, introduced at the time to curb the spread of COVID-19.
