Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz (pictured) said Thursday that the Turkish decision to allegedly retract numerous trade restrictions that were set to start applying to halt the bilateral commercial relations temporarily is a lesson of the resistance against those types of intimations from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"We must not give in to the threats of a dictator," Katz wrote on X referring to Erdogan. He added that Israel should devise alternatives and avoid reliance on a leader affiliated with the "Muslim Brotherhood," capable of halting progress abruptly.
On May 5, it was known that Turkey's decision to halt all trade with Israel was going to start "in the coming days".
