Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced on Thursday that Russia began transferring parts of its nuclear arsenal to his country.

Commenting on the security issues concerning nuclear weapons, he insisted that "[w]e bear responsibility for it ... It is a serious matter. Everything will be fine."

Lukashenko previously demanded security guarantees from Russia it would defend Belarus in case of a foreign-led invasion.
