United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May's Conservative government survived a no-confidence vote on Wednesday with 325 members of Parliament backing the government, while 306 wanted to see Tories removed from power.

The motion of no confidence in the government was tabled a day earlier by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn after the UK Parliament rejected May's Brexit deal by 432 votes to 202.

Following the vote, May stressed once again her government will work towards delivering Brexit, as that is what the British people voted for in the 2016 referendum. She added she will be meeting leaders of all parties represented in the House of Commons starting tonight in an effort to avoid a no-deal Brexit. Meanwhile, Corbyn also stated that the UK's priority should be to avoid leaving the European Union without a deal and added Labour will only hold talks with May if she rules out a no-deal scenario.
