PdVSA to open office in Moscow in April

Venezuela's oil minister and president of the state-owned Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) oil company, Manuel Quevedo (pictured), said on Monday that the opening of PdVSA's office in Moscow is planned for the beginning of April.

"Venezuela has a strong relationship with Russia. We continue to implement our relations and we are going to open a subsidiary in Russia the first week of April," said Quevedo told reporters. Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro ordered the relocation of the European headquarters PDVSA from Lisbon to the Russian capital.

Quevedo also said he'll meet with Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak in Baku on Sunday.
