Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed hope the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi will be solved "in accordance with the law without any allegations," adding Russia is satisfied with the cooperation between Turkish and Saudi officials.
Peskov did caution about "meddling and picking up the pieces in the situation" with the Washington Post journalist.
Previously, Sky News reported that the Saudi consul in Istanbul was relieved of his duties and put under investigation in the case of the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi who has been missing since October 2. Additional reports claimed Riyadh is planning to place the blame for Khashoggi's alleged murder on the deputy chief of the country's intelligence, General Ahmed al-Assiri.
