Russian Defense Ministry emphasized on Monday that Russia did not withdraw from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, but suspended its participation.
"Traffic along the security corridor is unacceptable until the situation around the terrorist acts committed by Ukraine against warships and civilian ships in the city of Sevastopol is clarified," the ministry stated, accusing the Ukrainian leadership of using the corridor "to conduct military operations against the Russian Federation."
Russia suspended the UN-backed agreement on October 29 after accusing the United Kingdom and Ukraine of attacking its ships responsible for ensuring the security of the trade corridor.
