Russian Ministry of Defense underlined on Friday that allegations about attacks on the Wagner Group camp are untrue.
"All the messages and video frames distributed on social networks on behalf of [Wagner Group head Yevgeny] Prigozhin about the alleged 'strike by the Russian Defense Ministry' on the rear camp of the Wagner PMC [Private Military Company] do not correspond to reality and are an informational provocation," the ministry told reporters.
In a video message, Prigozhin claimed a "huge number" of soldiers died as a result of the strike, adding that "evil brought on by the military leadership" of Russia will be eliminated. Previously, he accused top Russian military representatives of lying to President Vladimir Putin and providing him with "total trash." Prigozhin has been clashing with the MoD for some time.
