The South Korean National Security Office submitted a bill on Monday to terminate the 2018 inter-Korean military agreement until mutual trust with Pyongyang is reestablished, Yonhap reported.
Earlier, North Korea vowed to resume sending trash-filled balloons to South Korea in case Seoul decided to continue dropping anti-Pyongyang leaflets.
The United States and South Korea jointly condemned North Korea's recent actions, adding that its " provocations heighten tensions not only on the Korean Peninsula but in the Indo-Pacific region as well."
