Real Madrid president and Super League chairman Florentino Perez (pictured) pushed back against UEFA's threats of excluding players that participate in the breakaway Super League from its Champions League and Europa League semifinals.
He claimed that the move would be "impossible" for the organization. "It won't happen, the law protects us," said Perez.
The Super League chair explained that most European top flights have been struggling financially after losing the profit they relied on amid the coronavirus pandemic and that many clubs are now looking to find a solution to a "very bad financial situation."
