Trump slams Biden for commuting death row sentences

United States President-elect Donald Trump criticized on Tuesday the incumbent President Joe Biden for his decision to commute 37 death row sentences, saying it did not make sense.

"When you hear the acts of each, you won’t believe that he did this. Makes no sense. Relatives and friends are further devastated. They can’t believe this is happening," Trump wrote on TruthSocial.

The individuals who had their death sentences commuted by Biden will remain in prison for life without the possibility of parole. Biden previously also granted clemency to 1,500 people and pardoned his son Hunter Biden.
