United States President Donald Trump will use executive action to "draw on a variety of administration funding sources" and secure around $8 billion for the wall on the Mexican border, CNN reported. A part of that plan is declaring a national emergency, which Trump is expected to do on Friday.
A senior White House official told ABC the money will come from various funds controlled by other departments, such as Homeland Security, the Treasury Department and the Defense Department. However, Democratic lawmakers said they will fight the measure, and the Department of Justice warned the national emergency is likely to be blocked in courts at least on a temporary basis.
