United Kingdom Prime Minister Liz Truss acknowledged her government made mistakes in its mini-budget, revealed just three weeks ago. The newly elected official apologized to the public and took responsibility for the errors made in the policy plan which caused market turmoil.
"I wanted to act but to help people with their energy bills to deal with the issue of high taxes, but we went too far and too fast," Truss said, "It would have been completely irresponsible for me not to act in the national interest in the way where I have."
Britain's new Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt said earlier today that he plans to reverse nearly all tax measures announced by Truss and his predecessor, who has since been removed from office.
