British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated on Monday, while delivering remarks at the Confederation of British Industry's (CBI) annual conference in Birmingham, that the United Kingdom's authorities will make sure to use "our Brexit freedoms to create the most pro-innovation regulatory environment in the world."
Sunak underscored that the UK should be "ambitious" on growth, further saying that "over the last 50 years innovation was responsible for around half of the UK's productivity increases." Nevertheless, he pointed out that the rate of increases "has slowed significantly since the financial crisis."
UK's prime minister stressed that the Autumn Statement allocated noteworthy funds for research and development. He highlighted that he wants to make sure "that we make this country one of the most exciting dynamic places for businesses, small and large, anywhere in the world."
