The United Nations (UN) Security Council (UNSC) rejected Russia's request to create an international commission that would investigate the damage done to the Nord Stream gas pipeline system, RIA Novosti reported on Monday, citing a correspondent from the site.
According to the source, Russia, Brazil, and China voted in favor of the probe, while other members abstained.
Previously, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya accused Germany, Sweden, and Denmark of not providing his country with information on the investigations of the blasts. Later, Moscow said it is considering seeking financial compensation for what happened to the pipeline.
