Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that negotiations on energy supplies between Russia and China will continue until agreements are reached.

"It is quite normal that each side defends its interests. Negotiations will continue because there is a political will of the two countries' leaders to do so. The coordination of commercial issues will continue. We do not doubt that all necessary agreements will be reached," Peskov stated at a press briefing.

Previously, the Financial Times reported that a major gas pipeline deal between Moscow and Beijing was delayed over China's "unreasonable demands on price and supply levels."
