5.2-magnitude quake shakes Japanese Honshu

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck the western coast of Japan's main island of Honshu, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported on Friday.

The epicenter of the quake was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers about two kilometers southeast of the town of Anamizu with a population of around 18,000 inhabitants.

There was no information on possible casualties or damage.
