An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck near the coast of Mexico on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake's epicenter was recorded 224 kilometers southwest of the Mexican municipality of Jose Maria Morelos at 1:40 pm local time, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There have been no initial reports of casualties or damage, and the US Tsunami Warning Center has not issued a tsunami warning.
