Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas (pictured) congratulated on Monday Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on his reelection for a third term in the country's latest elections.
"We ask Almighty Allah to grant you success and guide your steps towards achieving your and your people's aspirations. We are confident that under your new term as President, Egypt will witness further progress and prosperity," Abbas noted.
In the presidential elections, el-Sisi received 89.6% of the valid votes, with a total of more than 39.7 million people supporting him.
