United States President Joe Biden stated on Wednesday that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin has become a "pariah" on the global stage, noting it's hard to determine whether Putin's power has been undermined by the recent rebellion of the Wagner Group.
Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin arrived in Belarus yesterday after receiving security guarantees from Putin, who encouraged the Wagner militants to continue their service by joining the official Russian military or being deployed to Belarus.
In a discussion with reporters at the White House before embarking on a trip to Chicago, Biden argued that Russia was visibly losing the war against Ukraine. "He's losing the war at home, and he has become a bit of a pariah around the world," Biden concluded.
