Microsoft-owned Blizzard Entertainment Inc. will bring back its videogame titles to China this summer sequentially under a renewed publishing deal with NetEase Inc., the companies announced on Wednesday.

The revival of the partnership that ended in January of 2023 will include titles Chinese players had access to under the previous agreement with the most popular being "World of Warcraft" and "Hearthstone." Additionally, NetEase and Microsoft Gaming stated that they will look into bringing new NetEase titles to Xbox gaming consoles and other platforms. "Returning Blizzard’s legendary games to players in China while exploring ways to bring more new titles to Xbox demonstrates our commitment to bringing more games to more players around the world," said Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming.

President of Blizzard Entertainment Johanna Faries expressed her enthusiasm over the deal, adding that the company is "focused on bringing our universes back to players with excellence and dedication."
