Deutsche Bank's CFO James von Moltke declared on Thursday that it is "not practical" to leave Russia at this time, despite the massive outflow of companies from that country.
"We're there to support our clients. And so, for practical purposes, that isn't an option that's available to us," Von Moltke told CNBC, adding that it would not be the correct thing to do to manage the relationship with customers, "and helping them to manage their situation."
However, he further noted that the bank might reconsider its position if the political situation worsens and its clients in Russia stop their operations.
