Twitter Inc.'s former CEO Jack Dorsey was not informed about the social media platform's censorship of the October 2020 story by the New York Post about material obtained from a laptop that belonged to Hunter Biden (pictured right), the son of then-presidential candidate Joe Biden, journalist Matt Taibbi reported in a series of tweets.
In several reports released a few weeks ahead of the 2020 presidential election, the New York Post showed emails it had obtained that detailed how Hunter Biden used his father's position as vice president in the Obama administration to secure business deals and other agreements abroad.
The story was heavily censored on the microblogging network by a group of senior Twitter executives, that did not include Dorsey and that was led by Vijaya Gadde, the company's general counsel and the head of legal, policy, and trust, according to Taibbi's report.
