Engine fire forces United flight to abort takeoff

A United Airlines flight bound for Seattle aborted takeoff at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport after an engine fire, the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed.

The incident, involving United Flight 2091, occurred around 2 pm, local time, forcing the FAA to temporarily halt incoming flights to the airport. The Airbus A320 plane was carrying 148 passengers and five crew members, who all disembarked safely.

O'Hare has since resumed normal operations.
