The Finnish government announced in a statement on Wednesday that it will be closing all of its border crossings with Russia, apart from one.
"All border crossings on the eastern border will be centralized at the Raja-Joosep border crossing," starting November 24, with the decision valid until December 23, the government explained.
"Immigration at Finland's eastern border has continued despite previous restrictions and has also expanded to other border crossings. According to the assessment of the government and authorities, instrumentalized immigration from Russia and its expansion pose a serious threat to national security and public order," the government shared.
