I like West Virginia Republicans - Manchin

United States Senator from West Virginia Joe Manchin stated on Sunday that his relationship with the Republican lawmakers from the state is good, underlining that he "likes all ... West Virginia Republicans."

"I'm not a Washington Democrat, I'm a good old West Virginia Democrat," Manchin said during an appearance on CNN. "I want to make sure I take care of my country," the senator underlined.

Manchin, who has alongside centrist Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema opposed Democrats' Build Back Better Act (BBBA), described the bill as "dead," earlier this week. US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has, on multiple occasions, invited Manchin to become a GOP member.
