Iran began enriching uranium to 60% purity at its Fordow nuclear site, the ISNA news agency reported on Tuesday.

Tehran informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about the move, which, according to the media, came in response to the agency's latest resolution ordering Iran to cooperate with the IAEA's probe into uranium traces found at three undeclared sites. The country was already enriching the uranium to 60% at other sites.

Iran restarted enriching uranium beyond the limit set by the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) after the United States pulled out of the 2015 nuclear agreement in 2018.
