The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday that its forces have managed to destroy over 50 sites allegedly used by Hamas and other groups in Khan Younis. The IDF claimed these objectives were hit in just one day, following the evacuation order given to civilians in the southern Gaza Strip city a day before.
The military noted using tanks and aerial weapons to hit the infrastructures and that these included "weapons storage facilities, observation posts, and structures used by Hamas terrorists, as well as underground tunnel routes in the area." As a result of the Israeli offensive in Khan Younis, at least 70 people died and 200 were injured, according to earlier reports.
In addition, the IDF mentioned a rocket launched by Hamas failed to reach Israeli territory and struck a school in the area of Nuseirat in the middle of the Gaza Strip.
