House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan will force a vote for House speaker on Tuesday "even if he doesn't have 217 votes initially," Chief Congressional Correspondent of CNN Manu Raju reported on Monday.
"That's how our great system works. And we will go to the floor tomorrow. It's not about pressuring anybody just about we got to have a speaker. You can't open the House and do the work of the American people and help our dearest and closest friend Israel," Raju posted on X, previously known as Twitter, citing Jordan.
Earlier, the House Republicans nominated Jordan to succeed Kevin McCarthy as speaker.
