Microsoft Corporation insisted in a letter sent to Delta Air Lines Inc.'s lawyers that it offered the latter help in overcoming the consequences of the global technological failure that occurred in its devices following a faulty upgrade on CrowdStrike Holdings Inc.'s cyber-protection system by saying that the flying service never responded, CNBC reported on Tuesday.
According to a letter Microsoft's legal representative Mark Cheffo sent to Delta's lawyer David Boies and seen by CNBC, the tech giant offered the carrier its help for free but never received a response. Cheffo went on to describe Delta's position that Microsoft was to blame for its losses as "incomplete, false, misleading, and damaging to Microsoft and its reputation."
The report came after Delta threatened to sue the former company and CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. to make up for the losses the flying service experienced during and after the aforementioned outage.
