NHTSA: Toyota to recall over 42,000 cars

Toyota Motor Corp is recalling over 42,000 US cars due to problems with the power brake assist, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday.

According to the report, the agency has detected a software glitch in the electronic control unit that manages the car during skidding, which could result in the loss of brake assist when turning into a curve.

The recall affects some 2023-2024 Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles.
