Pentagon says Syria mission was successful

The United States Department of Defense (DoD) confirmed its forces under the control of the US Central Command conducted a counterterrorism mission in northwest Syria overnight.

"The mission was successful. There were no US casualties," Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby (pictured) stated, adding that the DoD will release more information as soon as it becomes available.
